believe

one needs to believe
that something good,
even beautiful,
can strangely arise
from the most painful,
most tragic,
most brutal acts
we experience and see
in this temporal reality.

december last year, someone didn't have anything better to do, so he/she threw a brick into the driver's side window of my car, thereby shattering the glass and cracking the arch. i stopped pondering on why people do such things and i threw away the broken glass just recently. but before i did, i had to scan a few pieces... perhaps to prove something to myself.

such mess with the car though, now stands so insignificant, expecially when in january, i experienced the most tragic event in my life ever. the hopeful sentiment of the poem intends to address such catastrophe.
